Overview: (Updated 10/24/2003)
This event will feature a large parking lot venue of the state-of-the-art
facility of Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It will be configured in a way that
drifting can be practiced at all skill levels. We will introduce a full-course
instructional session as well as classroom session for those seeking advice
from some of the top drifters in the industry. Present on site will be
select D1 class drifters as well as Drift Association's list of drifting
and performance driving instructors. Our approach will focus on overall
dynamic control principles of driving technique and not limited to drifting...as
we see high speed drifting to require much of the same skills of running
on a raceway properly. It is sure to be a fun and very educational experience
for drifters of all levels. It is also the weekend of SEMA Performance
Aftermarket Industry Convention week so much press and industry staff
will be at hand to witness the event as well. More details of this event
will follow...
The participants of this event will be divided into 3 groups, in which
each of the groups running in one of 3 sessions, 2 of witch are in-seat
driving time and 1 spent outside assisting and observing the 2 driver
groups with instructors, as well as classroom type Q&A briefing to
mentally boost your skills for the following driving sessions throughout
the day. Each group will receive equal driving and course observation
durations.
2 course layout for drifting, and 3 skid pads will be available for practices
and instructions.
The cost of the event to general participants will be $100 for the participation
in all related activities of the day. Please register early as these Drift
Day events are extremely popular and have been known to sell out within
a few days. We cannot make additional room as we uphold the quality of
the event by limiting and assuring the course time, instructor count and
fun factor.
Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you there!
