Information
GO DRIFT is a non-profit organization designed to promote and aid in the advancement of the sport of drifting in the US by providing enthusiast with education, guidance and safe venues to participate in this sport across the USA.
Comprised of individuals and companies who have helped pioneer the drift movement here in the US and Japan, GO DRIFT will serve to promote, educate, and facilitate participation of drifting activities and competitions from the grassroots to the professional level.
What is Drifting?
In drifting, the objective is to maneuver a vehicle through corners at speeds and angles that exceed the vehicle's ability to adhere to the roadway. Drifting is truly an art form enabled mostly by the talent of the drivers to control the vehicle in such a state.
In the past year alone, the sport of "drifting" has become an exciting new form of automotive exhibition and competition in the US. GO DRIFT sanctioned events such as the Falken Tire Drift Showoff competition and RS-R Drift Festival have really introduced the sport live and direct to the American public.
Why GO DRIFT?
With this increased interest in drifting, there comes a variety of issues and challenges that must be address. Some municipalities and local communities have seen a large increase in illegal street racing related injuries and deaths in the past few years due to the rise in popularity of high performance street cars. Go Drift wants to prevent these types of occurrences as Drifting becomes more popular.
Enthusiasts will need safe alternatives to engage in drift activities other than illegal street exhibition that will endanger others on public streets. Since most race tracks and venues have little or no direct knowledge of this sport, GO DRIFT was created as a national organization for identifying such concerns, sharing ideas, and developing solutions related to the rapid growth of this sport.
GO DRIFT will work with venues, racing schools and members of the performance industry and community participants to provide enthusiast with guidelines and safe venues to participate in drifting across the USA.
Through cooperation, education and commitment to the sport, GO DRIFT will work to create a safe environment for participants of this sport in the United States. Through grants and your membership contributions, GO DRIFT will be able to succeed in this worthy cause.
Membership Information
GO DRIFT is designed to help enthusiasts and industry members get more involved in the sport of Drifting. Through collaborative efforts we will educate and organize trade events, regional chapters and activities. Together as GO DRIFT we will provide guidance in the growth of this Motorsport.

past Drifting events:
D1 Grand Prix US Driver Search - 1st professional
drifting series from Japan making its debut in the US (August 31st, 2003).
Drift Day - Club event consisting of drifting clinic for beginner/intermediate
drivers and advance group.
Falken Tire Drift Showoff - Drift series in the US featuring professional
drivers from Japan.
Hyperfest US Drift Nationals - Drifting contest produced as part
of the Hyperfest Motorsport festival.
RS-R Drift Festival - Drift contest and clinic featuring RS-R professional
drivers from Japan.
