Flat black to blend in with the night. Ok. Not really. Maybe you should go with some OEM colors like the blue or dark silver on the R34 GT-R. I don't remember their names.

are you going to drift at all?

If you are?.. get some cheap paint... YOu'll ruin a $3000.00 paint if you drift.

If just for show..

Silk Silver from the 2000+ toyota Celica. :D

or the SI blue from the siR civics.

all the aforementioned colors are awful. primer gray. as one member stated, you will ruin your paint drifting. also, why spend money on something that essentially does nothing for your car.

haha, i once talked to a kid that actually tried to prove that the color affected the wind resistance on vehicles. he was riding a yamaha dirtbike, blue, and said the the low freq. of blue was what made it slip through the air better. kids thses days.... i would go with black. never can go wrong with such a color. blue is nice to.

the best color is primer, because its easy to cover up things cheaply; i had a tuff style drift car (cressida), primer dark grey, all these dents, no bumper, cracked lights, intercooler hanging with some nylon belts....yup, those were the good old days of drifting (just reminising)

I've always thought about how cool it would be, once I'm actually good at drifting, to build a badass machine and then paint it pink with teddy bears dancing down the sides of the car...if anybody wants to make fun of you, it'll just take a simple display of skill to shut them right the hell up. Nothing could be worse than being beaten by a pink teddy bear car.

Paint it Drift Bible Orange or D1 Gran Prix panda or Keiichi Green or Option red/white/blue or Drift Tengoku camellion or Signal Auto chrome or Yokohama black or Advan A3A silver or Asphalt grey or Vaseline creme or Nismo black or Nismo gold or Nismo white or Grey carpet grey or Clear Windshield or Barney Purple or Sponge Bob yellow.......... as you can see this thread is G@Y

true. i just like things to be simple. and the notion of spending money on your car for something outside of the realm of performance is ricey.

Should this be in appearance modifications?

IMO:
Grit blast the panels and give it a coat of clear rust inhubitor. Think of the weight you'll save! ;) When you dent it, just pull the dent - no painting required.

If you are going to paint it, I'd say flat black.
-Hides scratches well
-Cheap to repaint
-Radiates heat the best
-The white-blue of tire smoke really contrasts well!!!

Just because a car has good exterior looks does not mean that its ricey, I really hate this, I've seen more people on this forum scream ricey then anywhere else, Just leave it Christ.

I plan to paint my SR5, a Dark Metallic Gray, With flat black bumpers, mirrors, molding and flat black wantanbe wheels. and a Carbon Hood. I plan to put Trueno, grill, emblems and mudflaps on it. Now i think thats a nice looking car, but if its ricey... then i must be a ricer, but id prefer rice eater... (^-^)

^ Ok, the way a car looks doesn't bother me...generally...but this is something that does. Why the hell do you want to put Japanese markings on a car that clearly isn't from Japan? I can't even count how many times I've seen some little Filipino kid in a Lexus Altezza driving around...yeah, that's not a typo either. I mean, come on man, don't be that guy with the left hand drive silvia/altezza/trueno/etc.

I never called it a truneo, its still a corolla SR5... even after i do the GT-S conversion. i just like to make it look JDM

I don't understand why people try and make their cars look like they came from another country...

Why not just make it go fast and perform well and keep the body the way the maker intended it to be over here?

at least with flat black you don't have to worry about scratches or color matching. If it fades just spray it again. God PRAISE KRYLON. :D
