the 2JZ AE86... its on club4ag under 'fun talk'

Anywho.. that would be an okay car... but it's throw off the weight balance so much you wouldn't really be able to drift it.

How is it a sleeper when the Intercooler is sticking out like buck-teeth?

IMO, Ultimate sleepers:
Holden/Vaux Haul V6, 383ci V-8, or Rotary Chevette (been done)
4G63T RWD Tracker (Soon to be done)
4G36T AWD CRX (in the works)
Buick Gran National powered 1st Gen Celica (been done)
Viper V-10 PT Cruiser (been done)
EJ20 1st Gen Legacy
Rotary 510
the list goes on...

To be a sleeper, the car has to have stealth to it. I'm not saying that a JZ motor in a AE86 isn't sweet, but it's not a sleeper in that form.

Yeah, anyone that knows anything would look at that thing and be like *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*. It might help if he painted the intercooler flat black.

Or did a V-mount, or rear mount.

The best sleeper I've seen so far was the Mitsubishi family van with a 4G turbo motor that does 12's. There's a video of it smoking a 4th gen Camaro floating around on the net. That thing hauls azz!! Wood panels and all!! LOL!!

i'll post some pics but our in house fabricator has a Geo Tracker with a Police Interceptor Engine in it, even used the rear end as well... it sounds a little mean ;)

hey, it was a mid-80's Chrysler minivan and it was not powered by a 4G63, it was using the stock engine, except it was turbocharged and internals were done as well. I think the site is www.turbovan.com , the site might be wrong though. peace.

O damn sorry for the mis-information. I read somewhere it was a Mitsu, but yeah you guys are right its not. My bad. But that van still kicks azz! LOL!!

Ultimate sleeper had to be the Kcar that smoked a Supra that ran a 12 in the 1/4 mile. The kcar ran a 10 something :D Too bad the turbos spool so loud it kind of takes away the "aw factor" because you know with that much boost it will haul. Oh well still kicks *Censored**Censored**Censored*.

i think the ultimate sleepers are twin-engined anythings.. ive already seen 5+ twinengined cars featured in a variety of magazines and all of them have had 2-3sec 0-60mph times... here are the ones that i remember off the top of my head... twin engined turbo tiburon , twin engined VR6 turbo Golf MK3, Twin engined Nova hatch with Vauxhaul turbo engines... Twinengined Biturbo Audi TT... Twin engined 4G63T powered 2nd gen eclipse... and the list goes on... btw the tiburon was in the Sport Compact Car USCC and its had 330hp per engine and ran mid 10s at the 1/4 on street tires..and it was sold for $80,000 by its maker..

sleeper is a creissida with a 1JZ TT that has top mount intercooler, stock muffler, but the real exhaust comes out just after the headers, and there is rust in the wheel wells and the paint is peeling.....

thats because he's wrong, and you should know that.

1JZ = 1 turbo

2JZ = 2 turbos

see a trend?

pcbootleger

I'm not sure if thats actually a 93+ but MK3's had a TT 2.5 or a T 3.0. MK4's had a 3.0 TT

That 2JZ should probably be put in a car before you start saying that it will wipe the floor with anything. :rolleyes:

no, its a 1jz and its a 2.5 twin turbo. 2jz is 3.0 twin turbo. coiloverkid i misunderstood you, i though you were making fun of him overstating that its twin turbo, he is right, it really is, there are not single turbo 1jzs.
