D’Vanz Motorsports is in need of a couple good ‘Hot Pit’ mechanic’s to help with our Ford Mustang located in or around Houston, for Round 3 of Formula D at Reliant Park.
The dates 6/10-11/05 are confirmed, with the 10th as practice and 11th as competition. The times are still tentative however I will be in touch with the ‘chosen ones’ prior to the Event. Entry and food is covered.
Prerequisites Include;
- Up to date SCCA Hard Card (if non available, a $35 temp card has been mandated)
- At least 18 years of age as imposed by SCCA rules
- Verifiable Mechanical knowledge and basic mechanics
- Current and valid Drivers License
- Timely arrival
You need to be:
- Fast on your feet
- Take direction
- Have a good attitude
- Work as a team
- Dressed to impress
Your duties may include:
- Set-up and Teardown of our pit
- Wheel changes in the ‘Hot Pit’ between heats
- Checking tire pressures and getting the wheels and tires mounted
- Lifting and lowering the Car during tire changes
- Re-Torque rear wheel lugs
- Quick Detailing of the car: windows, body panels, etc.
- Keep the pit in meticulous condition at all times
- Check all body panels and bumpers between races for excess play or damage
- Fueling car between races as needed
- Having a good time!
