Ken Gushi Pilots the Toyo Tires® / Ford Racing Performance Parts

2005 Ford Mustang to its First Formula D Victory in Houston

HOUSTON, TEXAS ? Team Toyo Drift?s Ken Gushi scored the first ever victory for a Ford Mustang in Drifting competition during the third round of the Need for Speed Formula D Championship at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas on June 11. This historic achievement was behind the wheel of the Toyo Tires® / Ford Racing Performance Parts 2005 Ford Mustang GT equipped with Toyo?s new Proxes T1R? ultra-high performance tires.

Gushi, an 18-year-old phenomenon in the exciting sport of Drifting, charged through the grueling qualification process, first making it into the Top 16, and then outlasting the competition by winning the final tandem drift battle. During the process, spectators heard the thunder of the V8 Ford Mustang GT powered by a 600+ horsepower supercharged 4.6-liter Cobra ?Terminator? engine. In order to ensure precision maneuvers, Toyo Proxes T1R? tires, size 255/35ZR18 front and 275/35ZR18 rear, were mounted on Konig alloy wheels. According to Gushi, ?I would like to thank my competitors for making the sport increasingly more challenging. I also appreciate the opportunity to pilot the Toyo Tires® / Ford Racing Performance Parts Ford Mustang GT to its first Drifting victory.?

You mean Hubert Young's Motorsport Dynamics s14. Monstor Fabrication s14 is owned by Casper Canul.
