It is now official the US Drift series has a factory backed Lexus in the series. The team, Team Lexus is owned by Chuck Goldsbourgh, in 2003 they ran at a couple of US Drift events with Ryan Hampton who also drove for Mazda and JIC and Chuck driving. For 2004 they are coming out with a full effort. The car will be one of their older Grand Am Cup race Lexus IS300s. They will be making all the US Drift rounds that do not conflict with their race schedule. Look for Ryan to drive again at select events.
