  • Tetsuya Hibino @ Drift Session, Oahu, Hawaii, Sept 10th (this weekend)

    http://www.driftingforums.com/phpBB2...48c9ff41f872bf

D1 Grand Prix driver Tetsuya Hibino will be visiting the Drift Session on Saturday September 10th, 2005. 9am - 3pm.

Hibino is currently ranked 9th overall in the D1 Grand Prix and is tied for points with Nobuteru Taniguchi. Hibino is most memorable in recent history while at the D1 Ebisu Circuit driving his Sunrise Levin Coupe AE86 along the inside line on the entry to the first corner, launching his vehicle into the air on every pass. Hibino is a longtime competitor of the D1 Grand Prix being very consistent in his performances and aggressive in his driving.

Hibino will be on hand at the Drift Session to offer his assistance to our drivers. Hibino will also be a guest judge at both the beginner competition at Long Course Turn 1 and at the Group A professional competition on a course to be announced.

It's nice because of our close proximity to Japan...the influence of drifting has been around alot longer than the mainland USA, so alotta these guys have heard of DS, and are interested in coming out. You can learn so much from them...it's incredible to watch the guys absorb it all.

Hopefully, he'll enjoy his time here. I know that we're putting him in a Formula Hawaii racecar tomorrow...I'll post some pics of that for everyone. Drifter turned Formula Racer. Heheh.

I just hope the track stays open past next year...it'll be really messed up if we have nowhere to go.
