Angelo and Tuerck Team Up to Tackle the Worlds Most Competitive Drift Series

Drift Drivers Tony Angelo and Ryan Tuerck (aka Hampshaa) announced today that they will be uniting their drifting efforts under the banner of Team Snakebite for the 2007 Formula Drift Pro Series and Formula Drift Team Championship. Team Snakebite will be based out of Montrose CA just out side of Burbank at their facility they call “Camp Snakebite”.

Team Snakebite has partnered with Bridgestone Firestone North America to provide their superior Potenza RE-01R tires and their support to the team throughout the race season. “We are very excited to partner with Tony and Ryan for the Formula Drift Championship.” said Tim Netzel, Product Marketing Specialist for Bridgestone. “Their pedal to the metal attitude is exactly what this sport is about and the RE-01R’s will be able to give them the traction and control they need to win events and put on a great show. They will be a great addition to the Bridgestone Drift Team” Team Snakebite also has sought suspension support from KW Suspension. KW is providing custom, cutting edge suspension built from years of racing experience. Other Team sponsors are Alpinestars, Exedy Clutch, Impact Racing Helmets and Autometer

Tony will début his new 2006 Mazda RX-8 with a FD3S Turbo Rotary motor and transmission conversion giving him the power and the control to slide his way to the top of the podium. He will also receive factory support from Mazda USA and BN Sports.

Ryan will be tearing up Bridgestone rubber in his freshly built Nissan 240SX (S13). This machine was custom built to Ryan’s exacting standards and boasts a powerful SR20 DET motor. Ryan will have additional support from Origin, Peak Performance, 240SXMotoring.com and Eric’s Performance Parts.

Finally, Montrose on the drifting map.

It may be an R/C car, but I like it just the same.

The asking price on the internet was $25k. And cars are often sold for much less than the asking price.

this IS the same RX8, it has been totally redone.

Congrats to Tony and Ryan. Both drivers deserve it!

The first postings I saw of it for sale online they were asking 30..I guess they dropped the price.

Who actually owned the car before Tony bought it? I heard a lot of conflicting stories
