      Saturday... And so it begins.

      Round 1 Qualifying just finished 2 minutes ago and we will be posting your Top 16 when all qualiftying is over. Tenativly at about 1:30. Stay with us as we try and provide you the fastest updates we can.

      Top 32 after Round 1

      Mcquarrie brushed the wall, beautifully, kept drift. Gushi had great smoke, but a little off the line. Hubinette, Rhys, and others took conservative first runs to get in. Haraguchi had AMAZING angle, but spun in the last hairpin. Robbie Nishida had a great first run, one of the best in unseeded. McNamara is sitting 19th, needs to improve. A lot of drivers are within 5 to 10 pts of qualifying, it is very tight! Full results shortly.

      Angelo had car problems, Steph had no score. The scores were very very tight through 25th or so, 3 to 4 pts either way would change a large number of the field. Opening Ceremonies are at 3:00PM. We will keep you posted after Top 16 at 3:30 - 4:00PM

          Tarzan kicked off the national anthem with a smokey burnout. Top 16 drivers introduced, Rutherford blew his transfer case while warminmg up and got towed off, he's out. Hubinette smokes out the crowd

          3:40PM - Hunt for Great 8

          Tanner vs Ross Petty...
          Tanner leads, Ross T-Bones him in the hairpin, Ross has 5 mins to fix car, 8-0 tanner lead.
          Ross leads, no front bumper, decent line, Tanner had more smoke and better line, 8-4, 16-4 Tanner moves on.

          Tyler vs Rich Rutherford... Tyler moves on, Rich Rutherford broke on drive intros. Tyler does a parade lap in s15

          Tuerck vs Dai Yoshihara... Dai leads, big lead on Tuerck (Dai had fastest entry), Tuerck has more smoke. 8-6 Dai. Tuerck leads, Dai is on his *Censored**Censored**Censored*, Tuerck spins in hairpin. Dai moves on

            4:15PM - Last of Great 8 Hunt

            Haraguchi vs Forsberg
            Hara leads, huge smoke and angle, amazing run!! 10-8 Haraguchi
            Forsberg leads, just as close, Haraguchi loses drift in last corner 9-7 forsberg, One more time

            4:18PM - Continued...

            Haraguchi leads... Bumper to bumper, huge smoke, Haraguchi knocks clipping pt cone off wall with wing in hair pin, amazing run. 10 - 10!! Tied!
            Can't go one more time!
            Forsberg leads - Super tight into the hairpin, Haraguchi closes in on forsberg, 10-9 Haraguchi, moves on 40-39. JRod says best battle in fd history
