  • racing shoes

    hey folks

I was looking into racing shoes after I got a pair of speed cats. It seems that a lot of pro racers in japan wear some kind of Asics racing shoe. Tsuchiya seems to have red Asics (I'm pretty sure he has a roomful of racing gear). The thing is I've never found anything about Asics racing shoes on the internet, even the japanese site. Maybe I'm screwing up my logos and it's not Asics at all. Anyway, if anyone know any info, I'd really appreciate it

like these? the only ones simular to racing style shoes made by acsics are the ones made for wrestleing.

I don't think there flame resistant either.

Why pick that helmet? You are paying a ton for the chin lip and the lip on the rear. That helmet was designed for open cockpit cars so the wind moves around the helmet better and causes less buffering. Buying a helmet like that for any street type of car is a waste of money.

As for shoes, wearing race shoes all day long will kill your feet, They are not good for walking around in and will get SUPER hot walking on asphalt. Check out a line called Piloti they have a cross between a race shoe and a street shoe and are made with nomex if that is a concern. They run about $125 a pair. I have worn nothing but Pilotis for the past 3 s and them.

Thanks for the tip. Now I want a pair! Do they make them in women's sizes and color schemes or should I just buy the men's shoes?

thanks for the info, the Asics wrestling shoe looks a lot like a racing shoe

drift angel, Puma has a lot of variety when it comes to racing shoes, but only the Race Cats are actually FIA approved. As far as I know, there are women sizes for puma. From my personal experience, wearing racing shoes gives you the tendency of a lead foot cuz they're so stiff. nothing dramatic, but I've found that I'm always going faster than I think I am when I have the Speed Cats on

Any other companies other than the ones mention make racing shoes? I always see Fila Ferrari stuff that seems to be for fashion

Anything Ferrari is insanely expensive.A Ferrari wallet is $400,authentic good quality keychains are $100.You don't want to get into the jackets.

Check out this site. They have a pretty good selection and the "Clearance" section usually has good deals.

Also, I bought a pair of Pumas. Not racing shoes. Just standard thin-soled casual shoes, and I love them. They're not flame resistant or anything, but for the sort of stuff i do (club meets,autox-ing,etc.) they're perfect.
