    Hey Everybody.

The Drifting Season has started up here in Canada, with the Castrol DriftMania Canadian Championship. ( http://www.driftmania.ca )

This year DMCC has taken it to the next level with having some real professional drivers judging the event; we're talking none other than Chris Forsberg, Tony Angelo and Vaughn Gittin from Drift Alliance. Our friend; Ryan Tureck (Who won the 2005 and 2006 Championships), must have put in a good word for us.

Round 1 was held in May, and was a rain filled event, but they still got sideways! There was a geat battle between Haig Kanadjian and Marco Santos, in their General Tire S13 and G35 Respectively.

Round 2 was held 2 weeks ago, and the track was soaked in the morning; but managed to dry up before the Top 16 took the stage. There are a few great battles in this one. Fred Girard (Team YAKUZA / Hankook Tires - R32) VS Hideki Nishimura (Team Toyo) in his new Toyo Tires R34 Skyline. Fred would break a half shaft after the "1 More Time". Haig Kanadjian (General Tire S13) and Marco Santos (General Tire G35) get extremely close; so much that Marco rips off Haig Bumper. Other battles are Gary Simons vs Hideki Nishimura, and a repeat of last years Marco Santos vs Hideki Nishimura, only this time they both have new cars!

Gary Simons went on to Win the event after Haig broke his Transmission while warming up his tires before the final, I am sure it would have been a great battle.

Round 2 ended with Gary Simons, Haig Kanadjian, Marco Santos on the Podium. Hideki Mishimura and Fred Girard finished with a top 5 finish.
