        I know what you're saying. The EVO, being AWD, was designed to have a death grip on the asphalt at all times.

        That being said, no car was ever intended to drift. 240's, RX-7's, 86's . . . they were all designed to hold the road, not slide across it.

            ^Engineers at every auto manufacturer never want their cars to drift, thats why stock cars understeer too much to keep normal people from spinning out.

                          I know Kuma has cash to burn but whats the benefit of switching the motor's position like that?

                          Why not just use one of the RWD kits?

                          Can anyone provide any insight?

                              having the car set up the way it is most likely improves the weight distribution and makes for a stronger driveline than converting the original setup. that and a big part of drifting is flexing your engineering skills to build a killer setup that still turns heads.
