Austin is Megan Racing's driver from Arizona.
I believe he is an instructor at one of the driving schools out there.
He's a great driver & an awesome guy.

I'm pretty sure Gary got his D1 license last year, but not Ben.

And I don't think Tyler ever went to D1.

At any rate... CONGRATS to everyone! See ya in a few weeks!

From the word in the paddock:

I just earned my D1 license for the first time.

Ben Reyes earned his in Dec 05 and still has his license.

Ben Swartz and Tyler, had theirs, no participation in a D1 event in over a year, therefore they needed to renew.

Conrad had the Gushi Auto car but disappeared, no clue?

not official just voices from the paddock lol

Last time Tyler Participated in D1 was when he drove the Jasper Supra (wow, it's been a while) so that's the deal. I hope D1 is ready for their first ever Porsche in their series!

Also, this will be the last event that the JIC / Hankook Nissan S15 will be doing a drift event in the US. After this, it will go back to JIC Japan. An official press release will be out within the next couple of days.

That was back in 2003 at the first D1 event. It basically had bolt ons and a procharger system in it (putting down about 400whp). The Z33 that everyone saw is still with us currently being built up. Details will be out soon about its plans for 2008, but it is a twin turbo motor and will be pushing more than what other current teams are putting down.

Again, an official release will be out shortly on the status of the vehicles and possible plans for the 2008 season. Thank you.

Austin is an instructor at Bondurant i think...just like Pat said. I believe after receiving his FD license in Laughlin, he's now running the Baja 1000.

you should get someone to build a nice roll cage and tin work.
that way kenji will have a good car to drive.
