  • Where to buy car camera mounts???

Hi guys, I am looking to pickup a few of the camera mounts like the ones I see mounted on most drift cars.

Any idea where I can buy a few of these.

    Picture for reference:

Any help is very much appreciated!

    thanks,
    Josh

    I also found this one.

They are very expensive but I was hoping someone on here would know of a cheaper alternative.

    thanks,
    Josh

manfrotto makes a really good one, it has never failed me. i got mine for $120 or so years ago, that plus the mini dv camera for sale at woot today would be perfect.

and if you need a good camera you wouldn't be afraid to strap to a car or break, woot has one today for a pretty good price. I bought one a few months ago and its a great beater camera.

Have you had any problems with the setup and do you have any vids on youtube or streetfire with some videos you shot with your setup. I would like to see how good the quality is.

        thanks,

The Filmtools "clamp" is what most people use.

I've never had it fail that's why i recommended it, as long as you clean the suction cup and the surface properly you will probably never have a problem. One thing is it can sometimes wobble, and give you some ugly footage, there are always ways to brace it more so you get less of a wobble but i haven't worried about it too much in the past.

here's a few videos of mine to give you an idea, on an older camera i eventually broke.
The miata video was mounted on the trunk, so it's really shaking around quite a bit, normally it wouldn't as much.

            Also on the trunk unfortunately.

here's an example in the back window of an evo, way more stable than my trunk.

and the rear window of an old daily driver i had.

Here's an old rough edit video in my days of being really bad at editing and film, there's a fender shot somewhere in there using the camera mount.
