  • leaf springs

    i seen alot of cars with leaf springs. but can a car really drift with leaf springs. wat kind are recommended for drifting.

    Sure, but if your rear suspension doesn't have some type of lateral support like a lateral-rod or 'panhard bar,' handling will be sketchy. I don't know of any leaf setups that have a panhard bar since the leafs normally take up the duty of providing lateral support but they're not good in extreme situations like racing or drifting. You'll need to make provisions to mount the lateral rod, obviously, but it won't be that difficult, as long as you have basic welding skills(which I don't hahaha).

      That brings up an interesting point. Does the Vette have that latteral support? It was running leaf springs up untill just a few years ago.

        vettes have had transverse for along time and still do. But thats sorta a different setup than the normal style you see in old muscle cars and trucks.
