  • 2JZ or SR20 - Money/HP

I tried the faq so dont flame my topic.

i want to make about 500 hp in my 240sx (ya i know everyone has one. Thiers a reason for that) and i want to do it right and reliable. i would like to kno if i did use the sr20 would it be worth it? Or should i just use the 2jz because it would be easier to make that kind of hp with that much displacement? All said and done including the reliablity factors of it.. which one would be cheaper? Im guessing the sr20 but id like someones opinion with more experience and knowledge of it. Any help is much appreciated. Plz dont flame

      A Toyota straight-6 versus a Nissan 4-banger? Strange comparison.

And this should be in the tech forum.

if you're going for 500hp, go with the 2j or an LS
