His initiation is so early, how does he do that without spinning out or losing the drift?

Yeah, but, man, steering angle can't just be it.

I know thats not only it. I don't know how he does it. Every time I watch it I cant believe he kept it on the track.

Very impressive...personally I think a significant amount of it is the type of car he has....it looks a lot more dramatic when a big car like that gets that type of angle.

Just from looking at it...it seems to me that besides steering angle a lot of it is his entry speed...he must have a monster engine..gobs of torque. There are probably other factors like his suspension set up..but if I had to throw out my opinion on the main factors..I'd say entry speed and steering angle.

I'm guessing 1. He comes in way fast, letting the slide slow him down enough for the entry. 2. He must have his toe in and out setup on the front and back tires, so the back end will come back around naturally when the weight is shifted on one of the rear tires.

And even with all that, it takes lots of skill to let the back tires grip just enough to pull you back around.

I know...unbelievable, D1 still surprises me to this day with it's quality of drivers. I look forward to May as the US will be no exception to this rule.
