  • Best drift car for newbies for little cash?

the best car in this situation is not a car at all but actually the search button. try using it and you might get your answer. but remember this, when buying a cheap car 90% of the time you get what you pay for.

try out the 240sx or miata they are both the easiest cars to drift and have plenty of parts.

sometimes when you buy a cheap car you get a cheap car you don't care about beating up learning to drive.
dude, totally go on ebay and search in the parts cars.
it couldn't hurt to learn more about cars in general too.

the price tags on 240's i hear is going up so a miata is a good choice plus its a soft top and girls seem to like them more ( not that that matters of corse )

you can get an early 90's miata for less that 2k and an early 90's 240 for less than 2.5 or 3k....

IF I had the money I would by a 240sx but I don't have the money, I don't even have a job, and to top it all off I can't even drive yet. lol try using the search bar. I hope you find some thing.

Man, how do you kids get interested in cars? I didn't give a damn about them until I was about 15 and had a permit.

very few cars that u want to start with over here are like the japanese ones... the cars that are like their japanese counterparts are expensive... if ur looking for starter cars that are like the japanese ones, then ur starting in the wrong direction..

an example of a pretty cheap one is the rx-7 turbo2... but ones that are in good shape are really hard to find... u can get a beat up one.. but ur gonna be spending a lot on maintaining it... (ur not gonna be spending a lot on "go-fast" mods at first)

the first thing to do is do what dae said...

knowledge first before blowing ur money away...

my recommendation is the 86. My buddy just bought a SR5 and installed a 4age from a prism. total cost 2k with the rear end (disc brakes and the lsd). That's how much i bought my 240 for and it wasn't in that great a shape initially either. 86's are good mainly because you can mash the gas all day and also they steer very predictably. good beginner/advanced car (depending on how far you take it).

Is the escort a GT? cuz i have a 92 and its a fun car. the GT has a special suspension. but with the auto tranny, i gotta use my special trick....the 2nd gear drift! lol
