  • DG Trials cuts ties with SFM report

    http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/sh...hreadid=152331

its kinda long... so ill try to sum it up. basicly their was an event in Hialeah Speedway in south florida, first their was a pratice session in their parking lot on 3/14 ( http://floridadrift.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26 ) SFM report wanted to have a compition in the Figure-8 track. the walls were really close and hardly anyone wanted to go... (http://www.boomspeed.com/spazum888/figure8track.JPG ) florida had only 2 events previous to this... he goes to say DG trials has had tons of events with only 1 major accident, the 2 events that SFM report has had, 4 cars have hit the will, and one almost wasnt drivable.... so basicly DG Trials felt they were running an unsafe event and were mainly in it for the money, and had to give SFM report the boot.

this is what ProjectD and I have been tring to say for awhile now... http://www.drifting.com/forums/showt...&threadid=3109 in this thread SMFreport was pretty much calling everyone a chicken for not competing...
So why didn't you compete? Afraid to have everyone see how you can't drift. It is easy to do donuts in a parking lot and pretend your hot sh*t when no one is watching.
ProjectD and I have always supported drifting, and the events DG Trials has had was always a blast. please take time to read all the post that i linked up.

exactly this is why the may 2nd thing wasnt on the DG Trials message board.

The DG trials 1st miami practice was awesome cuz it was in a lot, much like the D- Day in tampa where i was also at but had a much bigger lot.

Its so damn retarded to hold an event in a closed track and having amateurs drive there. yes, crashing IS a part of drifting, but you minimize that risk if you hold the event at a safer spot like the open paddock lot with cones.

I suggest they hold it there from now on rather than the track. if they did, i would be there with my RX-7.
