this site has become really stupid now.... due to noob questions all the time and most of the same questions coming up all the time.... its a waste of time for me to be on here and actually find some real tips on drifting or w/e like back in the day..... ive been seeing people post big *Censored**Censored**Censored* topics from other forums onto this one which is annoying me.... i havnt seen one good topic yet.... this is what i have been seeing for the past couple of months = how can I drift: (the name of every FF car anybody can think of). , Do shoes help drifting? , American Drifters are ruining everything, What kind of initial D episode do u like? , what is ur fav color cus im going to paint my DRIFT BUMPER that color? ....stupid topics like that are whats killn me... lolz im going to complain about this because u guys just keep bringing up the same *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* over and over and over ..... and i bet u the admins or mods will erase this thread before some of u can read it because they always like to do that since theres always somthn "illegal" im promoting, i think ive been warned like 10 times already or stupid stuff.....but its not about them its about the crap that doesnt get organized.... heres another hint for the admins and mod....you have to be 18 years old to be a member of this site and for some reason most of he peeps here are under 18 soo everybody is violating ur agreements..... and u wonder why ur gettn all these noobs like myself.... and have they made any provisions to keeping that stuff outa this site soo its clean and full of info.... nope were still getting crap like " how do i drift in my honda if i have a APC tailight in one hand and a cheesburger in the other? " ..... i like this site its really good to get some good info cus there are "real drifters " in here such as the whole YOUNG DONG TEAM, DRIFT XTREME, MY TWIN AUTO DRIFTer : SMC, the other mods and admins and drifters i forgot sorry but anyways im off this for good.... if any of u peeps want to contact me for anyreason just IM me on AIM...... sorry about me pmsing... just letting off some steam cus i dont care about this board no more...... I agree with some of what you said.

New users need to use the search button. This can't be stressed enough. That not only goes for this forum but all forums. It's just curtious to others keeping the boards "clean." I think this is the biggest part. Perhaps the admins can force a no new thread rule for new users. They have to view/reply to a xx number of posts before they can even touch the new thread button. Pehaps even adjust the way the forum operates by making it go to search first when you hit new thread. Below the search box would be a new thread button. That way people will actually think about searching at least.

Beyond that, I see all posts legit. Sure, ask about fwd cars, but you better have read all the old posts that talked about them already. If there's something new you want to discuss, post. If not, don't. I actually didn't mind the shoe post. They do affect drifting to an extent and it is something to think about.

I would like to see more technique or in depth discussions, but you get what the people have to offer.

All in all, you can't control what's posted or said. Live with it or leave, that's the only choices. I came here because I liked the forum. I still do. Yes, I get annoyed by the same questions over and over, sometimes the same question twice on the same page. However, I live with it. That's my choice.

Oh, just thought of something. One thing to help would be to add more forum categories. That way things get split up a little more, and hopefully some of the things you don't want to see will be in a section you normally skip.

Perhaps have a whole Noob section? I don't want to come across dissing noobs or anything, but it would be best to have new users coordined off in one part of the forum, forcefully. Once they get enough posts, they leave the new user section. The number could be adjusted. Also, perhaps they could be limited in how fast they can post, say one an hour or something, so there's not just spamming to get out the noob section. Now they can view all the posts on the forum, but they can only post in their own section. A select few moderators could regularly read through their posts and comment. Others can post as well, nothing negative though.

Despite these actions, admins fail to do anything about it.

I only frequest this board because it's the only one that slips through the "chat" filter...

            Ok here's the skinny.

You people have to realize one thing. This is the FIRST place that anyone goes for Driting info. You think they go to Driftingninnies.com first or anything like that? No, they punch in Drifting and we pop up. So 99.9% of all new people come here. So yes, we get all the question, comments and plain goofiness that comes with that name. If you want hardcore content there is some here but use your ability to choose and check out other places. This community is ok because there are people willing to answer new questions and not be complete rectums to the new people, which is treatment you find on the "more" specialized sites (and I use that term loosely).

Also, who are any of us to curb someones enthusiasm about a topic that they find cool or interesting. New people are people too and just because they are young does not mean they are stupid. Some are, we see that alot but I think of it as the Shotgun theory. Out of the hundreds of pellets, one is going to hit. The rest will fly away and not found. So ease up on the topics. Sure they are a nuisance but if you don't like em, don't read em.

Now the age thing. I do agree with that but funny thing is you can be 13 and up on every other forum cept for porn ones that I have ever seen. How are you going to stop that? What, photocopy ID's and send em in? Won't happen. So buckle down and contribute, maybe you can change what's happening.

As for Steve, sad to see you go, but you knew the rules when you came on here. You knew about posting illegal activity here and yet you broke it. That's your fault, not the sites. There is a reason we try to keep that out of here. That is so YOU or anyone else on this site does not have there spot busted.

People what you all fail to realize is the gravity of our situation. Drifting in general is coming under fire from the local police forces. It is Street Racing. Get with it. To the local Johnny on the beat it is Street Racing. They don't care that you were controlled or whatever, you were breaking the law and in a few months to a year, there will be a Drifting law. Get ready.

So if you come on here and break the most sacred of rules, setting up illegal events, spot dropping or anything else. You are gone far as im concerned. I like my spots and so does everyone else on here and any other website. They are like gold. No one gives away gold.

yeah, I don't know how much longer I can keep my cool. It's been getting out of hand these past few months.

I've seen numerous threads on how we can change the site and all that I've seen change is the drifting/ meets separated( at least I think it was those two) and Nissanguy_24's FAQ's.

I agree. I am not really a newbie to the drifting scene, but I am to this board... but for people who are new to drifting, a forum for them to ask questions would be great. We wouldn't need to limit them to that forum, but that's where they could get their questions about drifting answered. Also, there could be a "general" forum where people could rant and rave about "initial d" and all that stuff...

I like driftnation's site, where they have it split up into different sections: drifting (anything drift related), drift techniques, drift tech, forums for driftnation specific topics such as news, classes and battles.
