Hi, I am pretty new to drifting but have been admiring it from a distance for a little over a year. I am almost finished with my project VW Rabbit GTI 16vT rally racer and am going to be in the market for an s13 240sx shortly. What I want to know is where can I find good information on the different drifting techniques out there? If there are any web sites, magazines, books, movies, ect.... you all can recomend I would really appreciate it. Also, are there any drifting events/ GTG's in the PacNW around Seattle? Thanks alot guys! :)

Master the six different techniques to DRIFT!
1. Side Brakes(Hand brakes)
2. Shift Lock
3. Power Over
4. Braking
5. Feint
6. Accelerator Off

Tsuchiya explains and demonstrates in detail how to utilize these various
techniques to drift your car. He also shows how to drift with cars that
have different characteristics. Cars with strong grips, weak grips and cars
with little power.
In car cameras show how he maneuvers the car from inside. A footpedal
camera and indicators showing how he's using the brakes and accelerator make
it extremely helpful.
Tuning tips from the Drift King are also present as he tell us which mods
are necessary to drift. Advice on what kind of tires to use are also

Practice Methods
Mixing in stories from his own experience when he first got his license and
started drifting, Tsuchiya demonstrates practice methods on how to control
your car. He shows and gives tips on how to do a 90, 180 and 360 turn which
are the first steps to drifting your car. After tire screeching
demonstrations he always stops to break down the process of the entire
maneuver. Most of these moves involve complex timing and accuracy so this
explanation helps understand the movements.
