KA's are iron, SR's are aluminum. anyone know the weight difference??

according to SCC's Silvia hybrid project the Sr20det was 4 pounds lighter then the KA. I think they weighed the car before and after the swap.. But honestly i havent weighed it my self so i cant comment.
Now the SR has an allumium alloy block. the idea was to make the slightly larger engine weight the same as the CA18 the Sr20 is about the same size as the KA and has that lighter block BUT it also has a turbo charger and intercooler pipping ect.. so i dont htink there really is a big weight difference.Comment

i dugg up some information a while back and i found it on my computer when i did a search....mostly from sites that people test out diff. engines like the RB,CA,KA,and SR.....but i could be wrong....i have also seen that the KA motor weights 493lbs and the SR motor weights 490lbs....so its one or the other...Comment
