  • If you own a car in Japan read dis

Ok I live in Japan, I can have $12,000 saved up for a Skyline R32 GT-r by next year. What do I need to know before buying the car. I went to my girlfriends parents house who lives 1 hour by bullet train in Nagoya. I rode her bike from her parents house to the dealership. Since I did not live nearby on my ID they would not let me drive one, but the head mechanic at the lot gave me a ride in his r34. Shaken is about a grand U. S. then there is a yearly tax. THen also insurance. I have a parking spot. Does anyone here own a car in Japan?

inspection on every 2years is like 100,000yen including tax, excluding parts and replacing work.
        jidousha-tax is 39,500 every year.

insurance is... I don't know exactly it's included in
my parents' car's insurance, but it's like 70 to 80 thousand yen.
but if it's a GTR, expect the insuranace to be much more expensive.
I have a friend of mine who has a lancer evo 5 and he's 20 something old single male.
        he pays 270,000yen every year.
