My 1989 BMW E34 535i

Hey everyone my name is Kevin and I bought a 1989 BMW E34 535i three years ago. The car's stock, but runs numbers like it did fifteen years ago. This was the car i learned how to drive in, drive stick... and besides my family's 2.8Z3, the only car i've ever taken out and raced.

I've really made an effort to practice drifting, (i live in oakland and there's a good fifteen, twenty backroads in the bay area that I drive round on) but the car's a 3500 lb, 208 hp 225 lb torque sedan with a stock susp. I don't have a LOT of money for parts, so i've thought about selling my car for something else.

I'd like to hear from people who know about this model and what they think of it in terms of drifting. I'd also like to hear just from everybody and their opinions on this car and if it's a possible drifter, or just dump and go with the more known cars.

dude dont sell it. get some nice sus, remove heavy *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*, intake/exhaust/jc chip and it should have more than enough balls to take care of some business. oh and make sur eyou get a diff, youll thank me later

right on.. any suggestions how to get this bird any lighter?

yes! alot of the interior pieces are VERY heavy you'll save over 100lbs by yanking out the fronts and rear seats and throwing in a pair of sparcos. under the back seat and through out the trunk compartment there is alot of heavy sound deadening BS that you can yank out and save more weight. smaller battery, pull out spare, jack and tools at events to save more weight.

then you can go hardcore and remove ac components, heatercores, door panels etc. lots of *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored* to take out of a big car like that!
