I went to his house (3-hour drive), pulled the motor and trans out of his car by myself (another 3 and 1/2 hours), thought to open and check tranny there... Nah, I'm tired and want to go home. (another 3 hours). I begged my boss for the day off too so I could get my car going in good condition for the drift showoff.

Next day, take the bell housing off and 2nd gear was jacked (missing teeth on the main gear)... put my transmission back together and back in my car. Go to drift showoff and compete with no second gear synchro.

E-mailed him today...


All I can say that is was in working order and its a used part, anything can
happen. I do have another tranny off a '89 240sx if interested, let me know,
car still runs

Why the hell would I drive 3 more hours, do a few more hours worth of work, and pay him for another pos tranny? STAY AWAY!
