Yokohama A032R, brand new!

Brand new pair, never used. This tire is VERY sticky once warmed up. Good for small light cars, 185/60/14, although not so wide, but it will easily outperform the Azenis in a bigger size. Since it is smaller, less unsprung weight. $90each so $180 for both.

The A032R is Yokohama's DOT-legal competition tire that was developed for drivers who participate in autocross competition, as well as track schools, lapping days and racing events.

Many sizes of the A032R are available with both S (soft) and H (hard) high-grip tread compounds. This is intended to allow the driver to match the tread compound's capabilities to the weight and horsepower of their vehicle, as well as to the track and weather conditions in which they will be running. Heavy vehicles, high horsepower, demanding tracks and warm ambient temperatures will probably require the use of H compound tires while light vehicles, low horsepower, less stressful tracks and cooler ambient temperatures may allow the use of the S compound tires.

The H compound tires are also well suited to drivers who want long-lasting tires to take them through multiple driving schools and/or lapping days. If in doubt, we recommend that the driver test the two compounds in order to identify which is best for their use.

On the outside the A032R uses a symmetric directional tread design featuring massive tread blocks. Yokohama's Aqua Tusk tread grooves enhance water evacuation to develop wet traction during wet track or competition conditions.

The symmetric directional tread design is molded with 6/32" deep original tread depth and can be run at full tread depth for autocross competition. We suggest shaving A032R tires to between 3/32" to 4/32" of tread depth for competitive road racing. As the tire's outer shoulder tread wears from hard cornering, the A032R's directional tread design and symmetric internal construction allows worn tires to be remounted "inside-out" on their wheels to help prolong their life.

On the inside, the A032R features twin steel belts reinforced by nylon cap plies to stabilize the tread and stiff sidewall reinforcements to provide responsive cornering and high speed stability.
