Laguna-Seca Event by Nissanguy

Let me make this blunt ladies and gentlemen Rhys' GTO, i had a chance to watch it this saturday at laguna seca, They ran the Andretti Hairpin and turn 3, a very very awesome drifting course. And i have this to say, all of my doubts about the competitiveness of the GTO has been put to rest.

Rhys has gotten the hang of his beast, and it is very competitive. He has even used a few weaknesses as strength with a strategy against the lighter cars.

There was ALOT of passing, the first pass was by the RSR s14, in a straight line, on a straight away.. i didnt think it was very cool. but every pass after that was clean mid drift. If someone went up or took a wide line on a corner the other driver would take a tighter line. all while drifting and pass him. Sam passed up some opportunities to pass, instead just proving he could easily follow any line they made, perhaps he took alittle heat for the pass last week. That i apologise for. seeing him in person, hes a hell of a driver, and can pass anyone who gives him a few feet, even in a drift.

It was looking like a viper/gto final for a while, but then out of no where it seems Gushi starts his runs. Before long Gushi and Rhys went up against one another in the finals, they both did excellent, but Gushi was able to keep Rhys' off his game, and drifting in HIS style, which threw of Rhys, in the end he outdrifted him. They both did an excelent job.

When i get a chance to watch the tape, i will comment further on it, i stayed up for like 40 hours and my brain is alittle scrambled. i will review the tape. Give you guys all the details and when i can get it all online.

Also i spoke to Sam afterwords, told him i wasnt sure what to expect but that first turn i watched, he changed his line with the throttle and just blew me away, i was very impressed. He gave me a half used viper tire 295 35 19, and signed it "drit or die sam hibunette"

not sure where im going to put it, but i like it alot.
