Not really you can find GT-Ss for about that much, but not legalized.

Skylines are Expensive around 70-90k in america because of the cost of importing, and legalizing and the taxes you have to pay to uncle sam. Compared to that skylines are rather affordable in japan to purchase.

R32s can be had pretty cheap due to the drop off of value of japanese used car. Not unlike here, but even more so.

well, at least for all the events here, it does have to be registered and insured.....

if i buy a GT-R when i move to japan, i would most likely go for a 99 R34 cause of the drop of value, that way it is cheaper. and plus, why spend the extra money for a higher model when you can spend the same money on extensive tuning and make it alot faster? i dunno, thats just my take on it.....

R34's aint cheap

Here in Oz an R34 GT-Turbo is around the A$45k mark and a GT-R R34 is lucky to be found under A$90k not sure what the exchange rate is right now but thats 2nd hand and that is far too expensive for ANYONE i know. Y not do what i did by an older skyline get a newer engine and make it scream. I got a R32 RB20DET and did the swap myself into an R30 its currently putting around 320hp to rear wheels and drifts well u gotta feel it to believe it. Its an 1200 kilo car 5 speed with a locked R180 differntial from a 240Z. And it puts a GTO Monaro (runs the latest corvette engine) to shame in a strait line. All from a 1985 skyline R30. Believe it or not. Did i forget to mention the 50shot in the boot (For all u seppos a boot is a "trunk")
