ThunderDrift Pro Am Championship Round 3
![]() Ladies and Gentlemen, it's my pleasure to announce the 3rd round of ThunderDrift's 2010 Pro Am series! The event will be held on Wednesday June 30th, at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, Ca. Mandatory Drivers meeting starts promptly at 8:30AM, and drivers will hit the track for practice at 9:00. ![]() This course features a steep downhill into the first initiation, then a technical transition into a long off-camber sweeper, and a downhill transfer into a legendary circle-track style finish. The end of the judging area may be adjusted based on how well cars are able to make the final transfer during practice. If you haven't joined the points race yet, it may be too late to qualify for Pro Am Nationals, but it isn't too late to start practicing for next year's season! Here's a link to rules, and tech requirements: http://thunderdrift.com/?page_id=490 and Here's where you register! http://thunderdrift.com/?page_id=11 Remember, all registrations must be complete 1 week or more before the event date. If you haven't drifted with us before, or you don't have your official number yet, please be sure to mention it when registering! Numbers are first-come first-served. If you have any questions, please contact us. yes sir. cars will be gridding at the base of the 5A-hill (to avoid clutch kill-age) and the starting line will be just on the southern crest of the turn-5 bypass hill.
Just a reminder, the bodywork rule is in effect as of round 3! You MUST start the event with a hood, doors, and front/rear bumpers. To lessen the blow of this news, I've included some cool videos of previous rounds you should take a moment to watch. They're pretty sweet! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZ3UpDYZITY http://vimeo.com/10601290 |
