Sonoma Drift

Infineon Raceway has now opened it's doors to grassroots drifting. Wednesday nights will now be filled with dragracing, and Drifting. with 6 hours of drive time you will get your fill of tandem, or solo practice. Cage required for tandems, but if no cage you will still get your fill of drift.

the later part of the evening will go to bracket competition for tandem, and solo judged runs for non caged drivers.

to sign up, just hit this link or copy and paste it into your browser.

http://www.infineonraceway.com/media/news/587496.html

the "register online" tab is where all the action starts. read all information carefully, and register up.

Infineon's head guys are Stoked about the program and the fact that they are helping the scene.... they are firing off so many date for us to utilize the facility it's almost like it's drift overload. after yesterday, they want to use the course more often, like 2 times a month or more if possible... if people sign up and pre register, and they see the interest is great, i've heard of great things coming down the line. OFCOURSE we accept rollins at the gate, because wednesday is kindof a stretch for people to get out of school early, or off work... we have had a good amount of drive up participants, but since summer is hitting we expect there to be a bit more.

40 driver cap right now, and all the dates are displayed in the register link in the first post, also stay tuned as more on track dates are released.

*****NEW INFO NEW INFO NEW INFO*****

SONOMA DRIFT WEDNESDAY EVENTS ARE NOW 40 DOLLARS!!!

YES we cut the price by half, and giving you more of a chance for fun. last event was at capacity (40 driver cap) and it was the last 80 dollar day we will be doing, so we expect that pre registration will play a more important role now, due to the fact that roll ins will possibly be more frequent, also reserving a spot for the best show in the bay area is a no brainer at this price.

we're really putting on a good mix of grassroots even made some new drift junkies. come out and participate.

sonoma drift has really made it's mark in the drift community... after the huge success that the summer jam event was, this just goes to show that a proper place to practice helps out a TON.

this event was attended by alot of our regulars, and they all showed that they payed attention and learned on the courses that were set up and got to show off some of their newly aquired attributes on track.

wednesday night events will continue starting aug31st.... this is marking the halfway point of the season schedule, come on out and partake in what is a huge growing community in northern california.

any problems with registering in the past are all now being handled by the revamped registration online, or calling.

call Monday thru Friday. Brook Shaw 1 (707) 9333959 tell them what you are registering for, and they can get you situated.

lastnight was one of the most phenomenal moments of drifting in norther california in a LONG time. we had conrad grunewald, luke longburger, fabian fernandez, matt fields, ryan bell, a slew of pro-am drivers, and all the grassroots locals mixing it up lastnight. the evening was filled with wall rides, ride-alongs, and 14 car deep tandem gang bangs on the track.

Sonoma Drifters, we will be dedicating the night of 10/5/11 to Darryl Bud Connor at Sonoma Drift. Connor passed away of a very rare cancer at the age of 26. He was a big Drifting fan. Family and friends of Connor will be joining us that night. I would like to ask all of you to wear something that represents cancer awareness. I will see you all soon. Thanks for your participation

For the night of 10/12/11, Sonoma Drift will be having a preliminary night for breaking the Guiness World record of the most cars doing simultaneous donuts. I'll need 70 rear wheel drive cars, if you want to participate please make sure you email Lino Ramos the following information @ lramos@infineonraceway.com. We will need your name, phone #, Email address and car information (Make and Model), you must be a least 18 year old. We will have lots of media coverage as great promotion for Sonoma Drift.
