Doing a little translating

From d1gp's website we have: http://www.d1gp.co.jp/pointranking_2008.html

......................22.....10.....13.....12..... 21.....2

I have a cheap little PC translator program which fortunately has a proper name dictionary list. So, if I read it right:
斉藤 = Saitou (remember they list family name first) 太吾 = Daigo
今村 = Imamura 陽一 = Youichi
野村 = Nomura 謙 = either Ken or Kenji. Either way this is Nomuken.

I take the top #'s to be the event #, the 2nd number to be the place of the driver in the event, and the third # to be the # of points earned, and the far right column the total points.

If I read it correctly, with only one event to go if Daigo gets a #1 no one can stop him, and even with a #2 show he wins, since the difference in 1st and 2nd places is only 4 or 5 points. Pending a total engine blow or something in that order, Daigo only loses if he places 3rd or lower and Imamura gets 1st.

Last round is October 25/26, 2008.

I'm willing to be corrected by anyone with more knowledge.

Best in the world???

Yea, I know the circumstances were not in his favor... cold track, not a whole lot of practice

But that's why I say if we want to see the best of the best, we need to have a bit of qualifying.

Is there any kind of schedule up anywhere? Trying to find out if there are tickets to both days, and what's happening each day.

Thanks

Yea, I'm craving some more info....

There's a lot of other good international drivers that are being left out due to FD bringing in 16 drivers....

GUYS!

"Invited" does not mean confirmed or RSVPed. We have also reached out to a bunch more international drivers. Those released were just the first batch. Please consider that it costs a lot to bring a team and a car here and the drifting world is not made up of millions like F1 or NASCAR. US fans, please be thankful these international teams are busting their asses to get here and Red Bull is making all this possible. Come out and show your appreciation. This our first attempt to bring all the true champions and top ranked drivers from around the world here and not just our "friends", hope you support us.

BTW... D1 TBA = tell D1 to RSVP our invitation; no name means, no RSVP. You guys want to see Imamura or Kumakubo or Saito or Kawabata... call the D1 office.

We'll have the official entry list soon. Stay tuned.

Main thing I'm looking for is a schedule. Are we looking at day 1 practices and day 2 main event?

Friday / Saturday will probably top 32 / top 16 + tandem for Pro Am
Saturday / Sunday will probably be top 32 / top 16 for FD.

Seriously

Lets get down to business

35 bucks for each day.... 70 bucks for a weekend???!!???!!!

D1 never hosed us like that, it will be the biggest rip off since nopi LA.

I already know a lot of the pro am dudes are disappointed with the cost of there event and all. So we might not have many proams for the 15th event.

45 bucks for 2 days please????? thank you!!!

Or just have the first day all out free or like 10 bucks or something, its a amateur event!!!
