If they haven't already started then I'd think they would start building next week.

Will each grandstand provide views of the whole course?

i saw a drawing and it looked like Fuji Speedway.

Any thoughts?

Yes any of the three grandstands of the VIP area will have full view of the course. Each of the three have exactly the same view pretty much. Bring sunglasses because with the time change the Sun will be setting sooner than usual. VIP area will have live feed and there will be up to two jumbo's on site for the grandstands.

We will release a map layout and schedule of events as well at event details next Monday.

To tease the course, my best shot at it is like this:

1200 ft entry that is mostly straight but bends to the left 3/4 of the way through. That goes into a 500ft wide right hand sweeper that once finishing the "U" straightens briefly for a set up to a 200ft plus right turn, followed immediately into a left hander. Think a backward "S". The backward "S" tapers off into a small angle, long left hand bend that can be drifted into a deeper left hand arch and then a snappy right and into a small snappy left to the finish.

That probably just confused everyone. Sorry. Diagram will be better come Mon.

I just hope it's a course that the low powered corollas aren't at a huge disadvantage.

Quick question. By the way you describe it, will this course have a higher entry speed than Sonoma?

Yes, that certainly is a concern we will address

Definitely. Doing the math, 1200 feet is a tad short of a 1/4 mile so I think the drivers can calculate their speed based on that once they take into account set up. This course is not intended to be like Sonoma in the sense that Sonoma can tend to be an straight line into e/brake/minor feint, etc. That would be lame for this. We want a smooth fast entry where high HP cars can initiate early and lower HP a bit later and still hold speed and angle for the head to heads.

Hope that helps.

Looks like daigos car will show up, but he will not be driving.

Kinda expected this.

FD... please let the winner of pro am get the spot, if not yoshioka since he crossed the picket lines to drift in FD this year.

Guys, alas, this is true. We confirmed it with his team. Daigo will not be competing. He will be at the event but not competing.

I'm not going to say much more than that.

Jim made a call to Robbie Bolger who is the 2007 Australian Champ. This guy is so committed he said he would 100% commit and will probably be air freighting his car here. Unreal, so expensive. Either way he said he'll be here so he will be our 32nd driver.

We are very, very sad Daigo could not make it, lets leave it at that. All this stuff gets tiring after a while.
