Does this shiet even run?
nissan manual tranny, gm grandpa 4 speed tranny, or nissan autotiptronic bs tranny? (most expensive part of the vehicle)
This is pretty dope, even though I feel that dynamic autosports cars/drivers dont really mesh well with FD style of competiton.
Wait a hotdamn minute... is this for sure even a drift car? Could be a time attack thing.

lol driftforfun said in a thread (for some reason does not exist anymore) a short while back that it would never happend because he(daigo) felt the team was unprofesional.
But dang, homeboy shows up to a FD event reppin hankook(not goodyear) hard as hell. I feel anything can happend at this point.
Note: blaze1 has had a man crush on daigo since early 2007

Prolly LS-Juan. Gtr + ls1 = nevaaaaar losssseeee!!
Either that or vk56 like all the cool kids.
I hope we don't have to wait until the Hankook press conference on Thursday to get answers!
I'm on the plane now to head to Vegas, I'll be sure to make a b-line to the Hankook booth when I land!

I'm not convinced that it's a drift car yet. Besides, I thought that Hankook team was going to use a new Camaro as their drift car?

But that Conrads/Blue 808s deal.
This definitly looks like a dynamic autosports/eddie kim deal.
But yeah, I agree im not that convinced yet.

"lets trailer in car we probably wont see on the track for the next 2 years in hope to gain sponsor money for next year"

Drift car, driven by Robbie Nishida.
There was a placard in front of the car with all the specs.
Should be interesting to see how this build progresses!

It seems speedhunters is confirming it also. I wonder if it will be a standard GTR with just the front axle disconnected. Should be interesting to watch.

Why is there several of the same image?
**edit** never mind about the "mysterious oil cooler in the door," bigger pictures reveal the door is missing.... But, gives me an interesting idea.

why WOULDN'T this be ready in time?!
they fixed Eric's Subaru in 4 days after the crash in Seattle, and that had a ton of fab work on the front end. All they have to do is fab up a cage, replace everything with CF panels (which seibon already has), drop in a motor, add an E-brake, add suspension, and they're set to go. 60 days of working time, 10-12 hours a day with 2 guys... I don't see why it couldn't be done?
Dai's car in 8 days from almost scratch. Eric's car in 4 days from a bad wrecked. What's so hard to believe about 60 days?

...and, hoping everything works right the first time they start it up, they can make time to go a place where they can test it, shake it down...take notes, develop an original program further, take it there again, etc., etc. I don't think they can learn from others when trying to make a drift car out of an R35, so they are going to have to discover things on their own for now.
Or, they can just shake it down at Long Beach. ;-)

Rebuilding something that was already competitive or proven competitive is much different from building something from scratch that has never been done before... IE JIC Porsche.
I will be really surprised if we see this anytime before the east coast leg of the series. And I will be even more impressed if it is competitive at any time during the 2010 series.

You know, we also had our doubts with the AEM tC. It worked out fairly well for them.
