I’m tall so I need all the head room I can get. Even though the bar is high, as soon as the 1&1/2 inch padding and 2 inches of helmet are there the room is all gone.

The tape is to help get an ideal where the door bars will go.

Passenger side door bar.

Tricked out driver side.

This gives me room to sing my arms.

Installed the brake and gas pedal. Still need a clutch pedal.

Ok so those secret plates help to make this a quick release tube front end.

Rotary-Works style.

Gutting out the doors.

Plasma FTW

Made some seat rails.

The passenger side is stationary.

Rene added the oil coolers and support bars to the front end.

Intake manifold up against the fire wall.

Cutting out the cross member for the oil pan clearance.

got that out of the way.

Adding some material to strengthen it back up from what got cut out.

Lots more room

Added two more bars for strength.

Is it just me or douse this look like a face lol.

More support on the front end.

Wheel clearance still good.

We bought a body kit from AIT Racing the fitment needs a lot of work.

It’s a C west style. It need it a lot of heat gun and trimming to fit.

Not so bad, it’s growing on me.

Motor placement.

turbo 2 transmission and R154 transmission.

I put the gas tank in for now.

Random under pic of the front.

Got this fuel pump for big power.

Got the side skirts

Time to clean this up.

The grinder made quick work of the bondo.

Also got these fenders

Ok AIT what happen? These are crap. Fitment sucks and man these things are ugly.

Ok I’m going to send these back.

This looks better.

car on the floor

Ride height is cool but with the new bumper the radiator is too high.

It’s staring to look like a car.

I had to move the car over to the next stall for the night.

That’s Rene’s three rotor FC.

When I showed up the next day this bug was on the dyno.
It’s called the Red Baron.

Inter cooler bolted up.

Finally picked up some stock fenders.

I don’t know what these tabs are for but they got to go.

That’s better

Hood pins

Lowered the radiator but, the warped bumpers not helping.

Picked up some tail lights.

Hack up the radiator to relocate the in & outs.

New Sponsor Announcement. www.donlysonautoconcepts.com/

The Jeff Jones Racing team has put a lot of time, money, and heart into this build thus far with the collaboration of CX Racing and Rotary-Works. With progress continuing to move forward, we wanted to find a paint & body shop that would put in as much effort and pride into this build as we have, so we turned to the best shop in so cal, Donlyson Auto Concepts located in 5079 N. Maywood Ave,
Los Angeles, CA 90041. The owner, Francis Fabiculanan, has an extensive collection of trophies in his display room that belong to a countless number of award-winning show cars that carry his unique and flawless paint schemes. What better way to debut our drift car than with an exquisite paint job done by none other than this highly reputable shop.

Final weld

Rusty plats, looks like a battle ship.

I had to get tricky with the notcher.

Need this small pipe for the parallel bars.

Hiding them under the plates.

I picked up a GT wing a few years back. I’m finally going to put it to use.
Tracing and designing a taller bracket.

Made this out of foam

Looks good so trace and cut.

The mounting brackets.
