Drift Champion to make appearances as part of the Saudi Racing Festival at Al Reem International Circuit on February 17.

RIYADH, Saudi arabia, 13 February, 2011 – Vaughn Gittin, Jr., the 2010 Formula Drift Champion, is set to make his Middle East debut this week thanks to Ford Middle East and Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co, the Ford and Lincoln importer-dealer in the Kingdom.

The drifting legend will be visiting Riyadh as part of the Saudi Racing Festival and ActionHa at the Reem International Circuit, on February 17th where he will be making a guest appearance in the Saudi Racing Festival, demonstrating his drifting talents to tens of thousands of motorsports fans across the Kingdom.

Enthusiasts can also catch Vaughn Gittin Jr. at the Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co Gharnata showroom on February 15, 6:00-10:00pm.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. is one of drifting’s most iconic figures, and his machine, the Monster Energy/Falken Tire Ford Racing Mustang, one of the sport’s most identifiable cars. He is known best for his daring, foot to the floor, big smoke driving style. For the 2010 season, Gittin made the switch to a 2011 Monster Energy/Falken Tire Ford Mustang. When the season ended, he had podiumed an incredible six out of seven Formula Drift events.

Maybe he'll finally get the record straight on what drifting is, not that stunt-racing crap in stolen/rented vehicles on heavily-trafficked roads.
