i do believe suspension is the key on the s2000
assume the motor is just lowcomped and turboed

Hey Alex,

I just wanted to wish you Good Luck at Drift Atlanta this week. I remember how you got robbed last year. You totally should have won your tandem battle against Sam. You better bring it hardcore! 1st place!

I almost had it worked out for me to go, since my parents live in Georgia, but it didn't work out. I'll see you lata. My suspension is in, so I'll schedule a time with you soon to get it aligned. Talk to ya lata.

I already know the suspension is one of the key parts to building a s2k drift car. Just wanted to know the specs on the motor...

Then before I run in the comp, I wont watch the few cars running before me and just kinda relax and do my run in my head. Sometimes I kinda stress out a bit if im not comfortable with my lines after practice, thats when I find something to drink. You have to keep yourself hydrated!!!
Thanks Alex, i'll keep those pointers in mind. NCDA are having little drift competitions every other week and I'd like to do as well in the competition as I do in practice.

ryans, Good luck out there and represent the porsche good.

SageCraft, Thanks and I'll see you when i get back.

PhoPower, The turbo setup is cool, just alot harder then getting one of the supercharger kits that are out, but i do think turbo is much better performance wise.

driftex, Thanks for throwing that up there.

balmo,
Yup, ready to go.

tonesdef,
Yeah, i think i told the story of that someplace in this post. With Orido and that god awful strip club. And the guy at the door was like "we have a real looker inside"

jdmdrift,
If I get a chance to hang out, why dont we play some poker instead of looking for pusssy.

Hey alex. I know you are an ae86 guy but... I have a stock s13 coupe and every time I try to get it sideways at speeds over 30mph the car tries to understeer into the outside of the turn, but then last night I did a (drift?)
It felt and sounded like I had the front breaks locked but the rear was doing what it was suposed to do. could this be because my tention rod and tie rod end bushings are shot?

insane,
Its really hard to say if there is something wrong with your car without taking a look at it myself. Some of it may be your driving also, and I'd have to ride in the car with you to point out the mistakes.

The s13 does have a bit of an understeer to start with and if you turn the wheel too fast, you just make it worse.

You know, even though you weren't in my car you were still able to help me.
When you said "The s13 does have a bit of an understeer to start with and if you turn the wheel too fast, you just make it worse" did you mean under all conditions or right before the drift, when the rear tires still have grip?

If in some weird way it was possible to remove the rearends out of cars and drift only on them, not taking into account the vehicle that it came out of, would you choose solid-axle or irs.

Thats under all conditions.

You kinda pick the car you want because of what it has in it and how it handles. The irs has its advantages.
