I don't think Grunewald's new Camaro effort will be collaborated with Tanaka Racing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't see why not... Tanaka Racing has the funds and research to build a competitive car. Prior to the Corvette Tanaka built for Conrad, that chassis was considered uncompetitive. Tanaka put tons of time and money into engineering before Conrad sat in the car, and Conrad was given a lot of time to test the car as well. I don't know that Conrad could build out a competitive car on his own, and I don't doubt that he wouldn't reach out to Tanaka Racing anyways because of how quickly they made the Corvette competitive.

We'll just have to wait and see

I would imagine it being as competitive as the RMR GTO if it is done right. The chassis are pretty close to the same if I remember correctly.

well yes and no, the rear suspension is completely different. The GTO has a Semi-trailing arm rear suspension and the the camero has a 4 link multi-link setup same as the G8. Its a new platform altogether but the front suspension is laid out very similarly

I assume a suspension parts could be sourced from the G8 as it has been out a little while longer

So who's gonna drive the Corvette for the remainder of the 2009 season? Rumor has it Conrad and Tanaka have parted ways.

Ah, ok. The 4-link should be more stable, I would presume.

yeah its a much better design than the semi trailing setup that was pretty similar to the E30's rear suspension. the toe and camber curves make sense

I heard the same thing...it's why I posted what I posted earlier. Seems like Jacob knows more but is just holding out.
