Ok, so based on the posts hating on my poor Z I've decided to look into an older car as advised.

I plan on gutting the entire thing. This is partially due to my obsession with modifying my cars and partially because of the whole "wanting it to be lighter" issue, but that's not important right?

I am in no rush to buy a car, but wish to purchase one in a month or so. Given that I plan on gutting it, are there any cars in particular I should stay away from or look for? Or just stick to the list provided in the "Will *insert car here* work?" thread?

I will tell you what everyone always says. Look at cheap s13's they can be had for next to nothing, aftermarket support is amazing, parts are everywhere, dohc ka's are good for a long time (before you outgrow them). There are other options. I drove a stock NA Chassis MIata last weekend and it was plenty driveable even with the open diff. Seeing alot more miatas out now. They are like the new 86 short wheelbase and cheap. Look around its all preference.

thats me in an NA 300zx with a locked diff and adjusties.
Trust me they can drift....its just alot harder than everything else.

The problem with that is I don't have the 29gs to buy a new one if I destroy this one.

I have been trying to find an s13, but they're really hard to find.
