New to Drifting. And cars in general...
I have been driving for a good 2 years now and I am just beginning to learn about cars, so bear with me please.
Never had the interest because I had been driving a crv and a van. Once I had put the crv on 2 wheels I decided that was too fast. lol. anyways. I have a 2001 corolla now. Automatic )=. Everything stock. And it is front wheel drive. From what I have read those are all the things you do not want on a drifting car. However, I have been "drifting" this corolla using the e-brake method. (= It's real fun. I get it going at about 30 and when I hit the e-brake I try to do the oversteer, but instead it seems to turn the car. I was doing it on wet surface road. What is the average amount of time that regular tires should last if used for drifting? I am a student and I'm not looking to do anything serious, but I do not want to damage my car. Any tips? thanks in advance |

don't try to drift that car and you won't damage it
seriously save your money up and drop 2k on a 240 then go have fun at a track |

uhm. not very smart. don't try to follow those saudi arabian "drifters". If you don't know what I mean go to youtube and type in "saudi drifting". It's useless, not cool to real drifters and you're not gonna get pro doing it. But hey if it's fun for you keep on doing it

irregardless you are drifting serious or not , the fact that you have the sentiment to rip that E brake means you have the interest to pursue drifitng. And if the majority drives RWD silvias,etc... shouldn you tink about it? You are justlimiting your drift horizons / potentials by forcing front wheel drv cars to slide... I wouldn call it drift..... Prior to that yours is a auto... another no-no for drifting..
