Im about to get a 91 240sx wit a ka but the head is cracked should I get another engine or just buy the head

id get a new head depending on how good of shape the rest of the motor is in, ka's are cheap.

you can find a good twin cam ka with tranny for about 400 bucks t6he ca is 1000+.

Where are you located? If your in So Cal, specifically the LA area, you might want to check out some of the import shops. One I've dealt with and have had a great experience with is RMJ motor sports. Great bunch of guys, Miguel is great to deal with too.

if the KA's already in the car and was running good prior to the head crack ... then just replace the head and get back onto running sidewayz ... until the KA gernades, then CA it and be done!

now, if the car doesn't have a motor in it at all and you can afford it, i would strongly suggest doing the CA now.
