snow??!?!?

this is probolly a stupid question would practicing in the snow for starting a good idea?? that way i can learn how the car moves whens it sliding and such.. thats without going real fast... im just wondering is snow a good idea?=/ ino im a noob -_-

Ya i've heard tons of people talk about learning to drift in the snow and on icy roads. The only thing is, that makes it a BILLION time more dangerous. The thing about that though is that you can do techniques like the clutch kick without severely damaging your drivetrain.

To anyone else out there. Are there any tracks that are purposely iced in the winter or other wise out there?

Oh and don't say that anything is a stupid question. you can't learn if you don't ask.

Lower grip surfaces make a slower, easier, and less stressful environment for the car. You also don't need as much power to do the same work. Snow and ice can be tricky though as it does require lighter inputs, so there's more feathering and minute inputs involved in the process. However, everything happens slower, so it is pretty safe...as long as the area you are practicing isn't dangerous to a car if you slide off too far.

Also consider gravel a good practice medium for the same reasons.
