Using a scanner.



Anyone ever used a scanner to hear a dispatch reporting your drifting?

just wondering if it would work out having a buddy listen out for cops.

do you think it would work?

i sometimes just turn mine on at home and listen for kicks, havent used it while driving though, probably would work i havent pulled it out in a while though i used it about 10 years ago and that was it.

i dont know too much about sanners. Im not sure if it will pick up everything in that area.

yea it might be that it'll pick up only things a certain radius around you, but i dunno i remeber when we heard about a fire or something like that in the town we could go to the fire channel and hear them talking about it or something like that, long ago so i dont remeber, i should dig that thing up though and start figuring it out.

they'll pick up alot of things, you just have to be careful, i believe its illegal to carry police scanners in your vehicle in most states
