My Car's Accident

I'm looking for advice..

my dad took my car, which was last parked in the driveway, to visit my uncle in a nursing home. he was not more than 20 seconds outside my street, when some old lady getting her mail stepped out in front of the car. No *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*. 100% accidental, and we're still shook up about it. My mom told him to fix the car and sell it, they dont want it, because this isn't the first accident this car has had.

So, besides the horrible emotional shock and confusion, I'm left with only what I can get out of it for a new one. I loved my hyundai and now its going away. Anyway, I bluebooked it on edmunds, and it says I should get about $6k at most, so.. where should I go from here?

I've always wanted to get a 240, but I dont know what I could get in resonably good condition with this money. Any suggestions?

I'm really not looking at the car right now, its horrible.

woa, did the old lady get killed or what? damn thats screwed up, well the thing is 240's, atleast in my area are cheap but it depends what model you want, s13 or s14 chassis, s14 will be a little more and if your beginning you'll probably want s13 anyway beacuse its just cheaper, you would be able to get one easily for around 3-5 thousand, s14 will be a little more but i've seen some for around 5-8 thousand sometimes, although many cases they dont seem too worth it. also the s13 would be way easier to find.
