the thing is that mustangs arent meant for drifting or any kind of sideways movement.
they seem primarily made for straight quartermile driving. not that theres anything wrong with that, but i'd just like to see ford come out with more well-rounded cars like the svt focus and gt40, but with a more affordable price tag. not everyone has over 30grand to throw down on a car... or at least i dont. |

its been said that stance and wheel fitment make up 90% of how a car looks, i agree. good fitment and stance make what is imho an ugly car look reasonably good looking

Of course the stock suspension is gonna have a lot of body roll. It's meant for a normal consumer, they aren't focusing on drifters here. And if you want a car like the GT-40 you are gonna have to fork over the big bucks. It is a supercar, you can't expect all of Ford's cars to have stiff racing suspensions. Theres a reason why whenever anyone says they are making a "drift car" the first thing anyone says is "change the suspension" It's gonna be a pretty bad *Censored**Censored**Censored* stock car IMHO

i'm not saying it doesnt have potential.
i'm just saying that, traditionally, mustangs havent been built with handleing in mind. i am curious to see how the mustang is going to do in drift competition next year. the domestics have been having good luck so far. |
