Good luck making it very far in D1 w/ a stardard/standard looking car. D1 judges are not only looking for good driving skill but a car that is flasy and looks good while doing it. Even with the best driver behind the wheel the car itself won't let it get very far down the line. But better driving then I could ever do!

Right.

As we all know drifting is simply a judged motorsport of speed, style, angle and presentation.

A car such as Chris F. Z or the Ogura clutch Z with equal driving skills will always get more reaction from the judges then a stardard Z. Great driving is great driving regardless of car but in this compitition d1 that is the only department lacking in.
Drifting just to drift of course it's perfectly fine and looks good while doing it but as far as D1 it's not something I think the judges would let get very far.

Eitherway good job for making it as far as u did especially w/ a stock car. Goes to teach those you think they need all these parts to dritwelll.

Nitekids, that's way to complicated for me right now, I'm kinda drunk.

slonie, my car has rsr exhaust and technosquare's ecu re-flash. Stock suspension, stock V-lsd. It's pretty amazing what that car can do right off the dealers lot.

Thanks for the pics brian and colin.

It's not duct tape. I used green masking tape, then I ran out. Then I used blue masking tape, then I ran out of that too. So I topped it off with some electric tape, this gave it some flex. Then I had a giant vinyl band-aid made. Now I have no bumper at all, it's being used to make a mold for a c/f bumper.
People point and stare, its hilarious.

Stan is the man.....ka-blah

Thanks everybody.

Roll cages are required for that level of competition. The cage actually added over 100 pounds to the car, I was lucky I had the carbon hatch. The car is close the stock weight, probably a little heavier.

I'm not trying to take anything away from you at all, you did really well by the looks of things. Plus the added rigidity of the cage would help alot too, so the extra weight isn't always a bad thing.
