*formula Drift Houston Qualifying Pics*

Another fun day at the track with PLENTY of wrecks! Here are a few pictures from today... I got to ride-along in Vaughn Gitten Jr's mustang... it was a blast! Hiro Shimada was trying to avoid hitting Hubert Young's S13 and ended up riding up the K-Rail and flipping over onto it's side. Derrick Rogers's R33 Skyline smashed nose first into the K-Rail while trying to avoid hitting another drifter. The car ended up being completely totalled. Expect to see more wall smashing action tomorrow at Reliant Stadium!

GO DORIFTO!

Nice pics, but the info above is wrong. Taka Aono was the driver involved, not Hiro Sumida? Glad to know that everyone is O.k. Taka and the guys from Drift Association are at the track now making the repairs to the car so that he can continue tommorrow.

Good luck Taka!

You're right... sorry.... 5 hours of sleep + 9 hours of sun = horrible memory.

Pony,

Cool pics.... Got any of us non-seeded folks......?
BTW, thanks for running me back to my trailer for the wheel spacer.... Turned out that flat tire was just the valve stem...... Lot's of drama, lots of heat and simply a $1 valve stem core....... Ugh......

Thanks again,
DV
