Australias newest drift car

Hey there, here is the latest drift car that is out in Australia, it is a Holden Monaro (gto over there) and it only weighs 1048.5kg with 30 litres of fuel, and about 1026kg without fuel! It made a genuine 848.9 hp on the engine dyno and 775 ft-pounds of torque which is about 70% more than a V8 Supercar, anyway here are some pics.

Rhys was extreamly impressed at the level of New Zealand amature drifting on his recent trip home. And the Aussies are just as good. You would be surprised at how competitive it is.

ive seen the videos, yall are doing well and the vids are cool b/c the cars are kinda different. but rhys and sam would kill you guys. havnig a big power car doesnt mean they just ride along, both them are very very good drivers, and honestly from all the videos ive seen of you guys yall dont have anyone that can beat them yet.

Well there is the Toyo Drift Nationals which has the Pro Class and Street Class, anyone can enter that no matter who you are or the skill level you have. Then there is the Drift Australia? i think it has been renamed now im not to sure, It is only invitation only and has 4 wild cards that do not have sponsers, i think.

TOYO Drift Nationals - anyone can enter, pro and street class. top 16 get through to the finals.

Drift Australia/Drift Battle Championship - Invite only. At the moment i'm pretty sure it's only 12 with 4 wildcard from the new Formula Drift series.

Formula Drift Nationals - Very similar to the TOYO nationals, just run by Drift australia

plus there are the individual state comps. 3 i know of, but there are more.

so many comps to enter.

Yeah probaby. But we dont have a huge pro class like you guys. Oh and Rhys is from NZ. So in theory we already are competing well

Im going to stop in at an Aussie event and Japan D1 event on the way home from the UK. Do you think these Holden Drift cars will be competing soon?
