The sleeve of the coilover tore off the threaded portion of the suspension then causing the modified lower control arm to break at an "aftermarket" weld allowing the wheel to drop.

Not sure how that wording works but I saw the carnage after the car was towed back to the pits. Definetly one of the wierdest things I've seen.

and the tow cables are hard to see in that picture so it looks like he's popping a wheely with one hand out the door.

it almost worked, i mean, the front is off the ground, backs didnt fold in yet so he had to be towed away
