Entry speeds were anywhere from about 72mph to the fasted speed of 98mph recorded by Gittin, Faust, and Kazama.

entries speeds during the conpetition from first days of practice had come down considerably after a course change. initially the highest was 114. but after a drivers meeting for 2 nights, the track was changed.
